The Maseno Project

At last the long hot dry season has come to the end with the onset of the long rains last week (14.03.2011). It has been a particularly dry season with lots of Kenya experiencing severe drought during the 2nd half of 2010. The countries stocks of food are very low a so what we have in our storehouse is in big demand. The tithe from the short rains has come in and looks to be quite reasonable for the short rain season which never quite comes up to expectations. The tithe from the Long rains will e released for sale very soon at good prices.

Reports were that good rains fell most days last week causing a fever of activity as people prepare for planting. we are expecting delivery of fertiliser and seed early this week so it can e distributed for planting.
