The Project

The Maseno Project aims to bring relief from poverty through education in sustainable farming practices and encouraging personal enterprise in the region of Maseno in western Kenya.

The Maseno Project brings education to the local population through the structured teaching of ‘modern’ farming techniques. The education programme includes:

  • Kingdom based Discipleship
  • how to care for their soil and prepare their land and crops to maximize potential
  • aspects of soil erosion and how to combat this;
  • the need to diversify and grow a wider range of crops as well as crops for commercial profit;

The Maseno Project has a holistic approach to poverty - treating the cause and not the symptom. It is run by Kenyans for Kenyans and empowers local people through expert teaching and shared experience, enabling people to have a hope-filled future.

We work through the Anglican churches in the region and are partnered by individuals, businesses and churches within the U.K, Europe and North America.
